The 2006 Yamaha Lake Hume Classic saw 211 keen anglers compete for $15000 in prizes and for those who ventured onto Lake Hume were greeted by fantastic weather and a full Lake. There were a lot of fish caught across all categories but the target species ,Golden Perch , were a bit elusive with only 21 fish registered and released.The results as follows:

The Major prize of a Boat,motor and trailer package was determined by whoever caught and released a legal sized yellowbelly would be entered into a draw to take out the major prize.

The Junior section of the classic was keenly contested by the younger anglers but the yellowbelly were hard to find once again.Only 2 of the juniors managed to catch the target species and the results were as follows

After the 2005 classic was done and dusted there was a lot of positive feedback and a few suggestions for future events and everyone seemed to have a good time.With the 2006 classic cancelled we look forward to November 2007 and the new look Yamaha Lake Hume Classic with over $15000 in fantastic prizes,some new committee members and a few changes with the way prizes are awarded.The Juniors and the Lady anglers are being given extra lures at registration and every person who enters the 2007 Classic will have the chance to win the Major prize of a boat motor and trailer package.There is also a few changes to the Teams event so every team has a chance to win this category and the Ladies both Senior and Junior have their own category.
We would like to thank all the competitors from previous classics and a special thanks to our sponsors,because without the sponsors generosity and support this event would not even get off the ground,so a huge thanks to them and we ask the the competitors support the sponsors as they are the backbone of this event.
